Maremma is the wildest area of Tuscany. Etruscan and medieval villages, vineyards and woods, sand beaches and blue sea characterize this region. There are many beautiful things to see and to do. Parco Regionale della Maremma, established in 1975, was the first natural park in Tuscany. It remains out of the classic touristic paths despite being a great green area with a lot of hikes and bicycle rides opportunity as well as a beautiful and natural beach. Maremma is in southern Tuscany on the border with Lazio along the coast. It is one of Tuscany’s areas that has remained more natural and thus more “wild” and isn’t that well connected with the rest of Italy. But Maremma attracts a lot of visitors because of this unspoiled natural beauty, particularly along the coast and beaches in the summer. Grosseto is the main city and is the central hub of transportation.

In the morning, after your breakfast, drive toward the “City of the tuff” Park, not too far from Pitigliano. Admire the Etruscan necropolis, with its unique heritage. The entrance ticket will allow you to explore the Orsini Fortress, the Museum Pole and the Medieval Museum too.
Head to Pitgliano (aka Little Jerusalem), to discover a pure hidden gem of Southern Tuscany. From the Orsini Fortress, to the Orsini Museum, both witnessing the importance of this little borough during the Reinassance, to include also a Jewish path of Pitigliano.
Lunch at own leisure in the medieval town, nestled on top of a tuff rock.
In the afternoon, discover how tasty the local wines are. Enjoy a wine tour and tasting at the Cantina Sociale of Pitigliano.
Move toward Sorano and explore this as small as precious village. Here, an intricate maze of streets winds through the town allowing you to reach the neighborhoods of Borgo, Ghetto and Lazzaretto. All pedestrian areas where cars can’t get to. In the northern part of the town there is the Piazza del Poio on which stands the building of the Cortilone originally used as a barn.
Return toward Saturnia, through the “Via dei lavatoi” path, to admire another piece of history, remarked on the way.

Val d’Orcia’s untouched and wild landscape, only inhabited by small picturesque towns and villages are one of the most charming sights in Tuscany. The UNESCO’s Wolrd Heritage Sites list has welcomed its mellow hills and gorgeous vineyards (producing the renowned wines of Brunello). Must-see: Pienza the “Ideal City”, the Abbey of Sant’Antimo and of course the vineyards and surrounding countryside.
After your breakfast, depart toward iconic Val D’Orcia Region.

Enjoy the dramatic landscapes, surrounding you all the way through.
First stop will be in Pienza, (aka the City of light, or the Perfect City). Through your Pienza City Pass, you will discover the Cathedral, the Piccolomini Palace & Gardens, the Crypt, the Labirynth and the Borgia Palace.
At the end of your exploration, drive toward Montalcino area, to reach Podere Le Ripi, a bio-dynamic wine estate, producing one of the finest Brunello wine ever. Enjoy a private wine tour and tasting, followed by a farmer’s lunch made of local zero km food and recipes (including a visit to the iconic Bonsai Brunello Vineyards and a wine tasting too)
After lunch continue your exploration of Val D’Orcia toward Bagno Vignoni (a fanous Roman Baths station), San Quirico D’Orcia and its heritage to head finally to Cappella della Madonna di Vitaleta (the iconic little church that every respectable picture of Tuscany, shows).
Drive back toward Saturnia.

The Oasis of Orbetello Lagoon was established in 1971, following the extraordinary discovery a few years before by Fulco Pratesi and Hardy Reichelt of a small colony nesting Italian knight, a species considered extinct in our country since the beginning of the last century.
Visiting the Oasis of Orbetello allows you to closely observe thousands of birds, including ducks, herons, geese, cranes, flamingos, lapwings, waders, birds of prey and many passerines. Among the coastal wetlands, Orbetello is truly one of the most significant Italian lagoons, where you can watch unforgettable scenes every day such as the flight of pink flamingos, colorful ducks, sometimes “disturbed” from the passage of a marsh harrier, of the silvery passages grazing on the swamp of the bellows rainer; where it is possible to listen to the particular whispering song of the lapwings, or the voice of the geese, which gather in the evening to sleep in the most protected part of the lagoon. The Oasis of Orbetello also offers the opportunity to “enjoy” the full charm of the wetlands where the vegetation and the calm waters of the lagoon change color as the warm winter lights change. In Orbetello it is also possible to observe a beautiful pair of osprey nesting above a specially built artificial tower and a colony of common terns and little terns, unique on the Tyrrhenian coast
Visit a typical organic farm in the heart of Maremma, where local food and Butteri are two milestones of their activity. Simple dishes and quality products. The products used are mainly company or local. The organic oil, produced by the company, is the prince of the table, as well as the wine DOC Maremma Toscana produced in their cellar “IL MUSTIAIO” that will accompany every meal. Arrival at the organic farm. Welcome and brief presentation of the farm, the farm activities and the rural traditions of Maremma. You will be accompanied by our environmental guide, in a relaxing walk through centuries-old olive trees, the pride of the company, where you can learn about our animals. Then visit the old granite mill, one of the few still working, located under the manor house, with explanation of the main stages of processing the olives. Visit to the outdoor museum of the old farm tools catalogued then transfer to the “mandriolo” to meet the BUTTERI of the Farm. After the demonstration of butteri, will be at your disposal the small farm shop where you can taste and buy our products: organic extra virgin olive oil, wines DOC Maremma Toscana, grappa and more. Return to the farmhouse for lunch.
After lunch drive toward the Parco Regionale della Maremma. Once arrived there, park your car and meet with your equestrian guide.
You will experience an exiting horse-riding path.
The route, mostly flat, crosses the wildlife route characterized by wooded pastures dotted with oak trees.
It continues along the ancient road that leads to the abandoned olive grove of Spaccasasso; in this locality recent archaeological studies have brought to light burials of the Copper Age and cinnabar mining activities.
Also suitable for non-expert riders. 2 hrs approx time

In the afternoon drive toward Livorno, and reach your selected hotel.
STREET ART TOUR between Venice and Pontino a walk in search of the incursions of street artists and the installation of Vantees on Viale Caprera until you get to the projection of the video of the work in progress and the traveling exhibition between the gallery Uovo alla Pop on the Scali delle Cantine n 36 and the Ex Magazzino Jewish (entrance from Via Ganucci) adjacent to the New Fortress
Visit Amedeo Modigliani native house.
